Pelican Protector Cases

The Protector case is Pelican’s original hard case, made since 1976. Most sizes share the same build: a polypropylene shell, an O-ring seal in the lid, an automatic pressure valve that stops the lid vacuum-locking after a flight or altitude change, and stainless steel hardware. They are watertight, crushproof and dustproof, rated from −40°C to 87°C, and carry Pelican’s limited lifetime warranty. The exceptions: the 0550 transport case is rated IP55 (dust and water resistant), and the 1510 and 1610 Mobility cases are water resistant rather than watertight.

Sizes

The range runs from the small 1120 up to the 1780 transport case. Use the size filter to narrow the list, or the Will It Fit tool to find cases from your gear’s measurements.

Micro cases: pocket-size, for phones and small electronics.

Ruck cases: the R40 and R60, with a rubber exoskeleton and lid organiser.

Laptop cases: the 1470, 1490 and 1495.

Transport and long cases: large wheeled cases and long cases up to the 1770.

Cube cases: tall, deep cases for bulky gear.

Mobile tool chests: the 0450 with slide-out drawers.

EMS cases: fitted out for medical kit.

Inside the case

Many models come with Pick N Pluck foam, padded dividers, TrekPak dividers or empty. You can change the insert later: we stock replacement foam, padded dividers and TrekPak kits by case model.
